Protect yourself from unwanted germs with airplane seat covers, mask-sealing tape, and more.

Good news if you’re a vaccinated Singaporean looking to travel—the city-state has now launched Vaccinated Travel Lanes with 13 countries including Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and more. Even as you satisfy your long-awaited desires for travel, you might be feeling anxious about staying safe on your flight. Keep your mask well-sealed

Wearing a mask on your travels is par for the course, but if you’d like to be extra careful, try the Cabeau Tape. Each roll comes with 200 pre-cut strips that can each be reused up to three times. Designed to be hypoallergenic and latex-free, the tape is meant to improve your mask’s seal, so that germs and bacteria don’t seep through the gaps between your face and the mask. Best of all? They work on both fabric and single-use masks.

Disinfect your gadgets

With all the dirty surfaces you could be placing your smartphone on, it might be worth investing in a disinfecting device like the Phonesoap Go, which cleanses your daily essentials with UV light—it also charges your phone simultaneously. Other commonly used items like rental car keys and hotel room key cards can also fit into the nifty device.

Use an airplane seat cover

If you’re a germophobe who doesn’t want to take your chances, consider purchasing one of the airplane seat covers. Nice Seats’ covers come in fit-everywhere and lie-flat bed sizes, in cotton sateen material for a soft yet substantial barrier. This helps to prevent direct contact with your skin with the headrests and seat pockets.

Keep disinfectant wipes by your side

You might encounter various grimy surfaces when you’re travelling, whether it’s a dirty toilet or the seats at a roadside stall. Without compromising on your travel experiences, why not have disinfectant wipes handy for when you must clean your hands or your surroundings? Try these Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, which not only remove 99.9 percent of germs, but it also kills cold and flu viruses on hard and nonporous surfaces.
