Switch Up Your Workout Regime at These New Fitness Studios

by Voices Wellness 04 Oct 2021

Add some excitement back into your workout at these newly opened studios.

Getting a little bored of your tried-and-tested exercise routine? If your regular gym session or yoga class is starting to feel like muscle memory, perhaps it’s time to switch things up at one of these newly opened fitness studios in Singapore.

Yoga Movement Novena Pod

A fresh change from their five other studios, the Novena Pod is meant as an in-and-out concept for quick sweat sessions minus the frills. Petite compared to its other outlets, the Pod offers a check-in counter, two changing rooms without shower facilities, as well as a spacious practice room. Over 50 classes a week are available for booking, across Power Flow, Power, Basics, and more. Best of all, it’s located conveniently near the MRT station, as well as popular cafes like Two Men Bagel House, La Ristrettos, and Tipo Strada.

Sugar Boxing Singapore

The most photo-worthy new boxing studio in town, Sugar Boxing features colourful punching bags reminiscent of jawbreaker candies and a LED-lit “runway” perfect for that post-workout selfie. Sweat it out at either of the two locations—Cineleisure and Joo Chiat Road, to neon lights, heart-thumping music, and the cues of an energetic trainer. Classes include the cheekily named Sugar Rush, which comprises both boxing moves and HIIT intervals; as well as Sugar Overload, a total-body conditioning workout.

Warrior Studios

Feel right at home when you step into Warrior Studios’ cosy Lorong Telok home, a shophouse that’s reminiscent of Bali with its rattan furniture and tropical plants. Inspired by the Bodhi-Sattva Warrior, the studio believes that everyone can help others in meaningful ways. Designed for yogis of all levels, the classes here include Back to Basics for beginners, Mellow Flow for those who enjoy vinyasa-style classes at a slower pace, and Warrior Flow for those who prefer a more intense practice. Seasoned yogis can check out Flight School, a class that focuses on arm balances and inversions.
