VOICES VIRTUAL: Keep Calm and Make Chocolate by Kumi King

Well known for its mood-lifting properties, chocolate is a beloved ingredient all around the world. Aside from satisfying those with a sweet tooth, high quality cacao products are also considered a superfood that can benefit one’s health. In this chocolate bark making workshop, participants will learn a simple recipe for making healthy chocolate snacks at home. They’ll also come to understand the nutritional value of cacao products, different types of cacao products, as well as quick tips for making chocolate treats.

100gm Cacao butter

80 gm Cacao powder (no sugar added) 

60-100gm Sugar (coconut sugar) 

1/4 tsp. Vanilla extract 

Pinch of sea salt 

1/2 cup Unsalted nuts of your choice ( Almonds, Cashew nuts, Walnuts, mixed nuts) 

1/2 cup Dried fruits of your choice, preferably no additional sugar added (raisins, cranberries, Cherry, banana chips, coconuts flakes, etc)You may use your favourite trail mix ( mixture of nuts and dry fruits sold at health food section)
